Denim and Lace.  Lace and Denim.  Oh my.

I've added a new dress to my etsy shop!  I'm so in love with this dress!  Its so perfectly casual and cute at the same time.  I have also decided to offer it in small and medium, made to order.  I hope you love it as much as I do!

I saw The Runaways last night with Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart.  I'm not a fan of Kristen Stewart but she nailed the role, frankly she was amazing.  And let me just say, that I grew up listening to Joan Jett and watching her videos on MTV when MTV still actually played music videos (did I just age myself here?)   Ahhh, those were the days.  And well, anyway, Joan Jett just kicks ASS, and she had definite style.
So in the spririt of women kicking ass....

Happy first day of spring!  Otherwise known as the Spring Equinox.  It officially began at 7:21pm EST last night and it is also when the hours of daylight equals the hours of night.  Of course, I'm dreaming of sunshine and cherry blossoms and tulips and warm weather and I woke this morning to a dark sky, rain and snow slush!  Its ok, because today means winter is officially over and the days will just get longer and warmer...

Green Inspired
It's a gorgeous spring like day here in NYC and I'm home with a terrible cold.  :(  alas.  It's also St. Patricks Day today!  I'm really not big on this holiday (I'm not even Irish) but here in the city, its a pretty big deal.  It seems like everyone is decked out in green.  (although for most I think it's just a great excuse to go out partying at those awesome Irish pubs).  So in honor of this day, I thought I'd post some green inspiration from the SS 2011 collections.

On another note, if you happen to live in NYC, I would highly recommend checking out the Irish Hunger memorial garden. Although I might wait till the flowers start blooming.  It is quite interesting, and so very beautiful and definitely worth the visit.

Cecil Beaton (1904-1980)
He was a 1930s fashion photographer doing a lot of work for Vogue during the time.  I just discovered him, but already he is one of my favorites.
